Hello, and welcome to another episode of the podcast. Today on the podcast I talk about publishers investments. When we think about what publishers invest in (paying advances to writers, print runs of books, reaching readers, and connecting with booksellers, retail establishments, and libraries) we can come to see their role in a more expansive light than just book producers. Along those same lines, we can learn how to distinguish small press publishers from traditional publishers when we start to compare the investments a small press makes vs their traditional publisher counterparts.
